Figure 8 Pools
The Figure 8 pool is a kind of successor to the well-known Kidney pool, but with a more contemporary feel. It is a small oval atop a larger oval narrows down a little in the middle, just like the number 8. This pool actually gives a serene picture of an irregular natural water reserve. The best thing about this pool shape is that you'll get to feel the free flow of water. In sharp edges like in rectangular pools, the water tends to refract back with force after striking the walls. The curves of this pool shape help the water to circulate rather than refract back. A Figure 8 typically provides more swimming area than a kidney.
